"Well... yeah." Sliet said, shifting her gaze to the girl and raising an eyebrow. "Do you really think we'd have brought you this far if you couldn't? " she half laughed, smiling kindly.

Piper nodded, trying to smile back, though she didn't seem completely reassured.
"Alright..well, thanks." she replied.
The two eventually wandered off to where the groups of people were heading.

Kathrine woke Sliet with a hand over her mouth and the flash of a light as it turned on. It was two weeks to launch, and before sunrise.
The blond looked at her intensely before she was sure she wasn't going to cry out, and stepped back. "Get up, now." She ordered quietly. A few of Kathrine's men, and Harir stood nearby.

It took a moment before Sliet jolted awake, startled more by the hand over her mouth than anything. She grabbed onto Katherines wrist tightly, starting to freak out as she squinted through the sudden bright light before she realized who it was. She blinked up at her friend in groggy confusion, letting go of her as she stepped back. "What's going on?" She whispered, rubbing her eyes tiredly, but doing as she was told.

"The federation found us. They'll be here soon. I couldn't tell you before now or it would have raised suspicion. We're ready to launch. You are going to collect Pel and to go to the supply ship. You are going to manually override it and you are going to take off. Do not make contact with anyone. If this goes the way it should, the next time I see you, we'll be on Flora." Kathrine spoke very directly and quickly before touching the other and passing on everything she knew. As the other got up, she passed her a pack with a handgun across the side of it, then wrapped her tightly in a hug. Kathrine's heart was racing.

Sliets heart seemed to skip a beat at the first sentence. She looked at Katherine in shock, trying to figure out if she was messing with her or not. She tensed as the other transferred the information, still having difficulty believing this was real. She took the pack with shaking hands, suddenly very much so of what was to come. It took the girl a second to realize that Katherine was hugging her, wrapping an arm around the other, holding the back of her friends jacket tightly in her fist.

Kathrine held onto the other, almost desperately, before letting go. "I need to go. Good luck, Sliet." She said softly before hurrying out the door and gesturing for the others to fallow. Harir hesitated before walking up to her and clasping her hand gently in his, unsure of what to say. He knew he had to leave her now, and he knew he would see her again, but it hurt.

Sliet let go reluctantly, watching Katherine leave silently, confused as to what was happening, let alone as to what she should say. If Katherine was leaving that quickly, the shit was about to hit the fan. She looked up at Harir as he took her hand, squeezing it before quickly letting go and dropping the pack to hug him instead, holding him close. It was supposed to be another two weeks and she wasn't completely sure she was ready. For any of this. Before she could second guess herself any more, she pulled back, putting a hand on either side of his face, closing her eyes and kissed him soft and quickly before pulling away again to look him in the eyes. "Don't die, okay? That's an order. " she said, giving him a frightened smile, grabbing her jacket and the pack and running out the door to find Pel.

Harir held her gently as she hugged him, feeling sick with worry and then becoming confused as she pulled back and kissed him. After initial shock, he relaxed a little in her arms, letting his eyes flutter shut for a moment and placing his hand over hers at his cheek. When she looked at him again, he nodded weakly, not wanting to let go of her. As her hand slipped away, he was left in silence before taking off after Kathrine.

When Pel noticed Sliet approaching her, she grew suddenly wary. Raven was beside her and had armed himself.
"Sliet. Something's wrong." He voiced quietly. There was a hum in the air and an odd noise that usually wasn't present this late at night.

"Very wrong " she muttered quietly. "We need to get to the sip. Were leaving. Now. I'll explain on the way there." She told pel urgently before turning to Raven. "And you need to get to whatever ship you're assigned to." She told him, still shaky.

Raven listened in confusion. Now? This didn't make sense. "Sliet, if something is wrong, I'm staying with Pel." He replied, his voice suddenly very steady and serious, though his hands shook. If it was going to cause danger to his friend, he would leave, but he saw no upside to parting with her. He was assigned to ship B, but didn't think he would be missed if not present.
Pel glanced at both of them, starting to fallow Sliet quickly. She didn't understand what was happening or why they were up in the middle of the night to take off early.

Sliet watched Raven, trying to guage his resolve for a moment. "Fine." She conceded, turning to see better where she was going. "The federation found us somehow. They could be here any minute. We have to manually override the controls." She said distractedly, looking over her shoulder for a second as though considering turning back, but didn't slow down. None of them could afford that.

Pel looked horrified. She was still scared to try to help pilot the ship, and so soon, that coupled with the prospect of the federation at their backs... She hurried along after Sliet, keeping her eye out for any form danger.
As they headed into the halls in the direction of the ship, alarms sounded and soldiers made their way into the halls in order to lock things down.

Kathrine headed quickly through the tunnels in order to reach Carrier B. Her heart dropped when she reached the loading areas around it and found them swamped with soldiers moving in. Half of the Federal army had to be there. Settlers who'd been loading onto the ship were shouting and fighting with the soldier who were now attempting to subdue and force them back. Shit. They couldn't go down like this. She made motions for her men to move into the crowd and gunfire ripped through the air over the massive roar of the sitting ship as they moved in.

In the control center, General Singer turned to Otifer with a displeased and alarmed look on her face. "You tricked us! Why are the ships operational? Shut them down, now." The woman demanded.
Otifer shook his head, perplexed. "I cannot access the system, something's wrong."
A voice crackled over the radio. "Ma'am, the targets are missing."
The general pulled her radio up. "Find the droids and deactivate them. Use any force necessary."
Ashi took a step back from the soldiers and moved closer to Otifer.
Otifer looked at the general in alarm. "You promised protection for them, we had a deal!"
"We did, and that included them being asleep and relatively harmless to my soldiers, not this mess I walked into."
She made a motion and a soldier walked up to him.
Two others grabbed Ashi by the arms as she shouted in shock and tried to wrestle her way out of their grip.
"Don't you dare, she isn't part of the deal!" He growled, trying to stand up before one of the officers pressed him roughly back into his seat, wheeling him over by the useless controls as Ashi was dragged kicking and screaming from the room.
THe general sniffed. "You'll remain here until my soldiers secure this station, old man." she turned her back on him and sent the other men to help work things out.

Otifer, enraged and horrified, remained still for a moment, watching the weak cameras as they opperated. The mass of soldiers had moved into the Carrier B sub station. All isolated. How could he help from here. How could he somehow fix this.
He touched the controls absently, almost unsure of his new idea, before flipping two switches.
The general turned. "Keep away from those! What did you do!?" He shook his head again as nothing happened.
Only a few minutes now.

It was a loosing battle, Kathrine's men dropped and seemed to disappear around her, she was hit with something and felt an electrical shock tear through her before she collapsed rather weakly.
As she started to pull herself up and soldiers took aim at her, the noise of the ship suddenly started with hum louder and a metallic wirring and grinding filled the air.
She felt very part of her pained body tingle with sudden realization and terror.

Almost simultaneously. There was a boom and a crashing roar throughout the station as Carrier A pulled up from the ground in the morning light, screaming as the massive ship seemed to lift impossibly into the air.

A few seconds after, the glass in most of the station shattered, the floor shook and metal ripped and fire tore up from Substation B, as part ship ripped a little with a tiny burst of pressure before the entire thing ignited in an explosive blast.

Pel Staggered and Raven covered his ears as the glass shattered and fell around them, both ship's igitions audible from where they were, though one was much more hostile.

Otifer watched in stolid silence as the ship he had put his life into exploded and took out the majority of the Federation's army with it seconds before he heard the pop of the general's gun.

Sliet stopped for a second as the implications of that sound seemed to sink in. She stayed still for just a moment before taking off down the hallway at a near sprint, pulling the gun out of her pack as she went, the other two forgotten.

As Sliet took off, Raven and Pel fallowed in alarm in an effort to keep up.
They managed to match her pace and hurried after her as they headed through the twists and turns leading towards the remaining ship.
After what seemed like a frightfully long time, there was the sound of someone's crackling radio ahead.
Singer's voice came out unclear and loud before another voice replied and Josephe stepped into view. He looked roughed up as he placed the radio back at his belt before noticing them and raising his gun. "Don't move." He started before recognizing two of them. A discomforted, uncertain look crossed his face and it seemed as if he was going to lower the gun, but after a pause, continued to approach them, trying to figure out how Captain Leloup was here and well, and how his son was alive after after that day at the settlement.

Sliet slowed at the sight of the captain, resisting the urge to plow through him. She narrowed her eyes and raised her gun, her hand far steadier than she felt. "Stand down." She growled upon recognizing the man. She kind of liked Dumont. At least in comparison to Anderson he had been nice to work with, if more difficult to fool sometimes, but she liked him enough to give him a chance to run.

Josephe watched her for a moment as things, at least some of the pieces, came together. He shifted his aim ever so slightly and pulled the trigger, letting the bullet fly and strike the gun in Sliet's hand in order to knock it from her grip. With his other hand he drew an item from his side, something that looked to be a mix between a pistol and a syringe.
He moved to raise it, taking two wide steps to Sliet and lurching with the weapon towards her.

Sliet hissed as the gun was shot from her hands, looking up in time to see Josephe lunge for her. She tried to step out of the way quickly, but her reaction time wasn't quite fast enough. She felt something pierce her shoulder and she stumbled back a step, reaching up instinctively to grab the mans wrist in an attempt to pull it out. Fear and confusion crossed her expression again as she realized that, whatever the device was, it wasn't a knife.

Josephe pressed down on the device the second he felt it connect with the girl and let the weapon do it's work before attempting to disengage and let her collapse or pass out. He let out an immediate scream as Pel slammed into him and clutched onto his arm. He felt shocks run through him and staggered as blood flowed freely down onto the device. He turned and swung, hitting the girl hard across the jaw and drawing his gun as she stumbled.

Raven, despite the horror and shock, managed to move his feet, attempting to get between his father and his friend. He put his hands out defensively.
"Dad, dad stop-" He started, his heart racing. "Don't do this- you don't understand what you're doing."
The man paused, watching the other for a second before attempting to move past him forcefully. "Get out of the way Raven." He said disdainfully, reaching for the boy and drawing his gun.
Raven shook his head, trying not to back up anymore in his sudden fear. "No! Can't you just listen-" His words died in his mouth as Josephe fired twice, barely looking at him as the dark haired boy stumbled back at little, eyes wide in uncertainty and confusion.

Pel attempted to get up as his vision swam from the man's strike but barely stood to meet him as he caught her wrist, dropping the gun and pulling up the emp weapon.

Sliets eyes went wide for a moment before she collapsed, hitting the floor with a pained groan, curling in on herself. She looked up at the sound of Ravens cry, trying to ignore the pain as her eyes struggled to focus, her thoughts seeming to spin circles in jer mind. She had to do something. She knew how Dumont fought, and there was no way the other two could come out of something like that, especially when it was Ravens father. She reached out shakily for one of the guns that had fallen to the ground, lifting it unsteadily and trying to aim. She managed to fire twice, though her aim was slightly off from her usual marksmanship, managing to hit the man in the back with both shots, but missing his heart with both.

Josephe went rigid in shock as he felt hot, blinding pain tear through his back. Loosing his grip on both the weapon and the girl, he sank to the ground, glancing back at Sliet and realizing what had happened with a horrified, angry expression on his face. He tried to pull himself up again in desperation to stay alive but stumbled and fell, blood pooling from his mouth as it filled his lungs and throat.

Raven watched the man in terror as he started to fall. Almost forgetting his agony, he staggered over to his father and attempted to catch him as he collapsed a second time. "D-dad-"
The other jerked his arm away from him, coughing out a raspy reply. "Don't touch me," He snarled.
Raven let go, searching the other's face helplessly as tears filled his eyes. "Dad- let me help you- I can help- Please!" He pleaded, wincing as he tried to move to aid the man again. Josephe was coughing almost uncontrollably at this point and pressed his back against the hallway wall, growing rapidly weaker as his head lolled and his eyelids fluttered.

Pel pulled violently away from the man as she heard the gunshots, managing to back away and watching in shock as he crumpled to the ground. She almost moved as Raven went to the man, realizing her friend was badly hurt, but stopped, uncertain.

Sliet let go of the gun as the captain fell, rolling painfully onto her back and trying not to think, her shoulder throbbing. It was still bleeding, and if that hadn't healed nothing else probably would either, and she doubted she could do anything else. Damn it. Whe tried to sit up, wincing and gritting her teeth as she managed to prop herself up against the wall opposite Josephe. She watched Raven sadly, feeling bad for the boy, but knowing she'd done what she'd had to, having to remind herself not to fall asleep a couple of times.

Josephe didn't move much after that, his chest heaving a few times as blood pooled around him and trickled past his legs. His eyes dulled and Raven's voice became almost inaudible before the man lost consciousness.
Raven watched the other in terror, his heat breaking as Josephe's breathing became weaker and weaker until there was nothing. He stopped shouting at the other as he realized it was too late. He couldn't save him. He swallowed, tears streaming down his cheeks quietly. The boy couldn't look away from the man's still, scarred face until Pel clutched him tightly for a moment, trying to get him away from the other. As she urged him to his feet, he cried out and hunched over a little, a hand clutching the blood soaked cloth at his stomach, barely making it a few steps before sinking down again, closer to Sliet. He didn't look at her, taking in too much to try to understand what he was feeling.

Pel staggered a little before kneeling, she was scared, for both of them, but they had to keep moving. "S-Sliet...Are you okay? What did he do to you?" She asked in concern.

"I... I don't really know. " sliet muttered, still looking at Josephes still form. Her thoughts weren't much more than white noise at this point, almost as if her ears were ringing. "I think something like you did... somehow. B- but worse." She said shakily, finally managing to look at the girl, frightened, confused, and hurt. She didn't mean to make Pel feel bad, she'd never even wanted to remind her of what had happened back at the last settlement ever again, but that's what this felt like. And if that's what had happened, all three of them were in trouble. They had to move before someone else came along, or else they might be killed or worse, but in her shock, she wasn't entirely sure she wanted to.

Pel hesitated. What was she supposed to do? "W-we should keep moving." She stated quietly. Sliet and Raven were both in bad shape, and she couldn't heal either of them. She felt Raven's chest rise and fall with each pained breath against her as she helped him stand and felt a tug of fear. She wasn't good with injuries, and he was barely trying to help himself at this point, weakly holding cloth to the wound.
She reached a shaking hand out to help Sliet up. If they stayed here much longer, they would be found.

Sliet just stared at the others hand for what felt like a long time, unsure of what to do before taking it and pulling herself up unsteadily, deciding it would be better than arguing for the time being. She leaned heavily on the wall once she was on her feet, cringing at the pain of moving her damaged muscles. She looked back to Pel for a moment before starting down the hall in the direction she'd been headed before, sliding along the wall and using it for support as she went.
