Re: FW Part: One
Harir looked at the other, confusion and growing concern plain on his face. “Sliet… they let me out this morning on a form of probation. Anderson’s still in there, but I’m done now, I just have to report back every so often… ” He explained softly. “Are you okay?” He asked. She didn’t look 100% at the moment.
Re: FW Part: One
Sliet nodded, her smile fading a little bit. "Yeah... I was starting to get that." She said, a touch of bitterness in her voice. "I'm fine. Tired is all." She explained softly, trying to keep him from being worried.

He nodded, still looking worried. He doubted they'd do anything to hurt her in there; it all seemed very gentle and rehabilitative; they'd even treated Anderson with understanding after he'd tried to fight back the whole way in. "I... I'll come back later then, you should rest. I'll go find the kids. I'll come back every day, okay? I'm sure you won't be in there long..." He tried to assure her, though he wondered if he was more concerned than she was.
Lilla watched the two uncertainly, waiting for the other.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliet chuckled lightly at his response. "you better. I might go nuts if the only familiar face around is Anderson." She joked, smile returning to normal. "Just don't d anything I wouldn't do." She added before reconsidering a moment later. "Actually, based on today's events... it's probably best for you to use your own judgment."

Re: FW Part: One
Harir gave a small smile at the last part. "Yeah. don't worry. I'll stay with the kids until you get out. I'll see you later, okay?" He said softly, putting his hand where hers was on the glass before they said their goodbyes.
Anderson looked around from his meal. As calm as this place was, he still couldn't relax. Everyone was so touchy and friendly; it made him want to cover his ears and go back to his room. Instead, he took another bite of his food, trying to tolerate it. He hesitated as he thought he caught sight of Sliet, and looked up, sighing. He'd got rid of one, and now the other was here to torment him. At least it wasn't Ashi. He raised his slightly hand to greet her before he realized what he was doing. He was sort of glad to see a familiar face, but now he'd have to talk to her.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliet took her food silently, feeling almost bitter. The longer she was here the less she liked it. It wasnt so much tat she didn't like being here, it was the not being allowed to leave part that bothered her. Some things just never changed. She looked up as her eyes caught a different sort of movement, stopping when she noticed Anderson. She looked around quickly, hesitating as she considered just ignoring him and going somewhere else. But of course, misery loves company, and who in this world was more miserable than Dudley Anderson. She set her tray down quietly, sitting next to the man.

Re: FW Part: One
Anderson gave the other a brief glance before turning back to his food. "So. How did you end up in here?" He asked after a moment of awkward silence. "I figured a hero like you would be in exciting meeting and being consulted by important people." He stated indifferently. He'd expected much worse than this for himself though too, so he wasn't really sure what to anticipate at this point. Certainly not group "therapy." Ha. there wasn't even any aversion conditioning going on; all they did was talk about their feelings and pet dogs.
Re: FW Part: One
Sliet shot Anderson a warning glance before turning back to her food, trying not to eat it too quickly. She still wasn't used to being this hungry ever, let alone almost all the time. maybe it was just the years of either eating when you had to, eating when you could and the rare and elusive eating when you want, all catching up to her now that her tech was disabled. "I don't wanna talk about it." She grumbled.

Re: FW Part: One
Anderson shrugged, going back to eating; he didn't care enough to pry on the subject. "Well, Harir's gone. Just you, me and Dumont. I can't seem to get away from you people." He muttered. He didn't have to wonder which one of them would be here the longest, but it wasn't like he had anything better to do, was it?
Re: FW Part: One
Sliet tensed at the last name Anderson mentioned, her face going white as a ghost.
Dumont? Was Josephe here? No. he couldn't be. There was no way he survived, right? She watched him die. She couldn't have done anything to help him. He was certain of that from the getgo. Asshole.
"Dumont's here?" She asked uneasily, trying to keep her voice from wavering.

Re: FW Part: One
Anderson glanced up at the odd tone in her voice. "Yeah... most of the soldiers are." He said, a little uncertain of her fear. He didn't want to ask. "He's not being tortured or anything, I'm the one who has to deal with him. The people here think we should be around each other for "familiarity". He snorted bitterly. "Eh.. I should go get him anyway. Coming?" He asked, not really waiting for an answer as he stood, heading off.
Re: FW Part: One
Sliet watched Anderson get up hesitantly,, before reluctantly getting up to follow. He had to be screwing with her right? and if that was true, ten what WAS it that he was doing?

Re: FW Part: One
Anderson headed to the other side of the commons room, glancing around for the kid. He didn't want to babysit the other, as much as the people here seemed to think it would be good for both them to be around someone they "knew," though he was only putting up with this so they'd let him out faster. When he saw the other sitting, he walked over. "Have you eaten yet?" He muttered.
Raven sat quietly off to the side of the room near one of the small windows, taking in the surroundings quietly. He still felt too exhausted to try to talk to anyone or really do anything, but he didn't want to just lie in bed either. He was just happy to be awake right now. When he heard Anderson's voice, he glanced over. "N-no. In a bit, maybe." He said softly, not really feeling any more up to it than normal. He noticed Sliet and looked up quickly, smiling to see a familiar face, though a little confused as to why she was in here.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliets eyes went wide when she saw Raven, a rush of relief and excitement overtaking her anxiousness from the moment before. The other Dumont. She ran forward, slipping a little bit and half landing on the poor boy as she wrapped him in a tight hug.

Re: FW Part: One
Raven watched her in alarm as she ran towards him, bracing himself as she fell fowards. He held back a yelp as the air was knocked from him, hugging her weakly and smiling. "H-hey Sliet." He greeted her happily and holding onto her for a moment. "Hey- I'm not dying." He added, wanting to share his excitment over the fact, even if it really wasn't important.
Re: FW Part: One
"That's always good to hear. How are you feeling?" Sliet asked, loosening her grip, but refusing to let go. The last time she'd seen him he was nearly dead, it was a miracle he was even sitting up right now.

Re: FW Part: One
"I'm feeling better.." Raven replied honestly. "I'm on a lot of pain medication right now until my body adjusts. I just feel really tired." He admitted. He wasn't entirely sure how the whole procedure worked, only that he'd had to have several of his organs replaced, or fixed or something, but he didn't want to go into detail. What about you? Are you okay?" He asked, still a little concerned over having her here, as happy as he was to see her.

Anderson stood up in front of the mercy corps, taking in a breath before unenthusiastically pulling out the orders from command and not attempting to hide the fact he was reading directly from the paper. "By order of the Honorable General Singer of the Federal army of Lorraine, the traitorous settlement of WulfStock is to be taken and to be purged of all those disloyal to the Federation." He began, looking up from the paper. "Captain Dumont's platoon led the attack this morning and breached the defenses. You will be fallowing up to offer reinforcements in flushing out and destroying the remaining resistance. We're dealing with a few fools with pitchforks and hunting rifles; don't get yourselves overwhelmed, and operate in groups. When we're finished, you'll be called for further instructions. Move out." He instructed dryly, before stuffing the notes into his pocket and heading around to take his position.
Raven stood quietly as he listened to the briefing, shivering as the snow fell around them, he wasn't sure if it was the cold or his nerves at this point. He stared straight ahead while Anderson finished speaking, then swallowed and started to fallow the other troops, until Marcel beckoned him.
"Dumont, on me." The other spoke softly. Oh no. He didn't want to have to deal with trying to get away from the other; it would make things considerably more difficult, and he didn't want to hurt the Lieutenant. He gave the other a slight nod, catching up to his friend. The brunette looked exhausted and frustrated, dark rings lining his eyes.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliet stood nearby as Anderson described their orders to the troops. She never liked jobs like this, no matter which side of it she was on, but there was no getting out of it. At least if things went "well" It wouldn't take long, and there shouldn't be too many casualties. She watched the other captain walk off, following suit with her jaw set. Who was she kidding. things very rarely went well.

Re: FW Part: One
As they neared the town, smoke rose up from the clusters of buildings a precursor to the sounds sporadic gunfire and yelling and the smell of blood and gunpowder.
Bodies were strewn in the snow, some being moved by soldiers as they approached on the road. Captain Dumont was headed towards them on the road. His navy coat was stained with dark patches, though from the way he walked it was clearly not his own blood. He had a few others as his side with weapons drawn, though had his hands free himself. He greeted the two with a quiet grunt, slowing as he reached them. "Most of the rebels have been put down. Your soldiers are going to be cleaning up the mess and getting rid of the remaining people. Command wants the place empty. No prisoners, no burning anything down, get rid of the last scum hiding in there and burn the bodies. We'll make camp here tonight when it's done." He instructed, relaying his own orders to them.
Anderson looked at him with his usual confusion. "We're clearing everyone out? I thought we were killing the rebels." He added with a bitter laugh, as if the man had made a mistake.
"Everyone. New orders." Josephe snapped wearily, wanting to be on his way.
"Whose going to tend the farms?"
"Federation Citizens, there's already people being shipped out."
Anderson didn't say anything else, just watched the other as he took off and headed past with his small group. He turned to the soldiers, shouting to get their attention. "Same plan, clear everyone out, no prisoners. Understood? Move!" He growled angrily, swinging his rifle into his hands.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliet's expression fell at the news, though she worked quickly to regain control of it. This was bad. This was going to make for a very bad day for everyone. It took her a moment to come back to herself, realizing that Anderson had already given the order to move out. Working with that guy was really a pain in the ass, and as much as she really didn't want the Federation to have any more numbers to it's ranks, she couldn't wait until he got more people to command so that she could have hers to herself once more. Sliet grabbed her own rifle before reaching for Harir's sleeve and holding onto it tightly to hold him back for a moment. He was the lieutenant closest to her, he always seemed to be if she really thought about it, but now wasn't the time.
"Make sure that nobody gets carried away." She instructed sourly, her golden eyes fierce. If they were going to try and massacre an entire settlement, she would make damn sure that they wouldn't enjoy it. There were some pretty messed up people in their outfit. That said she ran off on her own, determined that there would be at least a few survivors from this day, and hopefully she wouldn't get herself too badly hurt making sure of it.

Re: FW Part: One
Harir glanced at the other, nodding. "Yes Captain." He replied quietly, and turned quickly as he headed off to monitor the soldiers as well as he could. As he walked, he still felt to be in disbelief of everything. It didn't feel real.
Raven fallowed behind Marcel, trying not to look too desperate. There had to be something he could do; he had 6 rounds in his rifle, and refills on him, but he doubted heavily that he could fight back enough to distrupt what was happening. If he could just get away from the other, he might be able to help.
Josey stayed hunkered down in the Cellar beneath his house. He'd been wounded badly in the fighting and tried to fix himself up, but by the time he'd checked out side again, the soldiers were swarming the town. He stood in the corner of it, armed with nothing but an hunting rifle with one shot left, and a hunting knife. He'd hidden his two little girls in the crawlspace, and put crates and a tarp in from of them. He'd instructed them not to leave, though he didn't know what they were even going to do from this point.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliet worked her way carefully through the settlement, trying not to show how much she knew how to get around here. She knew where she wanted to go, but it would attract way too much attention if she went straight there. She wandered around for some time, keeping a wary eye on the soldiers, growling at a couple who seemed to be getting carried away before heading for the small more familiar house. She looked around quickly to make sure no one was looking before ducking inside. She hastily scanned the room, looking for any evidence of another living person. "Josey?" She called, trying to keep her voice low.

Re: FW Part: One
Josey froze at the footsteps, aiming at the cellar door and crouching down silently until he heard the unexpected voice. There was only one person, it couldn't be some trap, could it? He remained quiet for a moment before finally calling back. "Sliet? Is that you?" He asked warily.
"Daddy is Sliet here?" Asked a hushed voice from the crawl space.
"Hi Sliet." A smaller voice chimed loudly.
"Hush up, Brook," Snapped the first.

Re: FW Part: One
Sliet let out a breath of relief at the sound of her friends voice, smiling a bit at the sound of the girls bickering. They were okay then. Sliet rushed over to the cellar, ducking in hastily and skipping a few steps on her way down. "There you are. Are you hurt? Here, let me see." She said, going over to him.

Re: FW Part: One
Josey stood to his full height, lowering the gun as she approached. "Hey. I'm okay, just a shoulder wound. What are you doing here?" He asked in confusion. He wondered for a moment if the settlement was being liberated, but doubted it. At this point he just wanted to get himself and his girls out of this place.
Brook crept out of the crawl space, running over. She looked relatively stressed and worried, but brightened a little at the sight of the other, hugging Sliet's leg,
The older peeked out worriedly from their hiding space. "Brook, get back here, we have to hide." She whispered.
