Horatio stumbled off of Yuki as the brunet shoved him, but came back immediately, swinging the axe so the back of it smashed across the other's face, and gave the other a harsh kick at his leg, trying to knock him down, moving to finish the boy off with another swing before Raven helped shove the other to the ground, nodding to the leader as he pinned the other as well as he could. The small, dark-haired boy stared down at the brunet, a fearful intensity in his eyes. "Don't fight." He warned desperately, trying to keep him in place, as Horatio turned to the two other bandits trying to get a handle on Yuki. Raven's mind was working too fast and frantically to be sure of what he was doing, but if the brunet stopped fighting back, Horatio might spare his life; the man was always looking for fresh blood in his band of raiders.

The two raiders, Connor and Ren, were doing their best to subdue the other boy, holding him in place for Horatio to deal with. The leader dusted himself off calmly, ignoring the blood splattered across his jacket, and looked over the two captives, as if indecisive. "Take him back to camp." He ordered, jerking his chin in Yuki's direction, then looked back to the brunet who had pushed him, seeming unsure. A fighter would be useful, and he didn't doubt his ability to break the other into his service, but was it worth the hassle?

Kail got ready to take a swing at the leader before the back of the axe was smashed into his face, causing his vision to blur once more as he stumbled and fell over once he was kicked. He tried to fight through the pain to get back up after hearing Yuki yell his name, more out of worry than anything. He knew that the dark haired male would easily give his life for him, but he wasn't going to just sit by and watch either. He struggled to get up off the ground before he realized that someone had moved to pin him down. The brunet didn't stop trying to fight against the dark haired boy even though he was told not to fight even though he knew he wasn't going to get anywhere. His shoulder was killing him from hitting the rock, and he could really only see out of one eye after being hit with the axe.

Yuki had been going to try and fight his way out after Kail had managed to distract the man but instantly stopped as the axe was swung towards him, basically throwing the brunet to the side. He relaxed a little as the two men holding him were told to take him back to the camp. Surely things would be fine then? He was still on edge in case Horatio changed his mind or killed him back at camp, but if they were being taking back to camp it couldn't be that bad. That was until he realized he hadn't specified about Kail being taken back.
Eventually giving up his fight, Kail closed his eyes as he essentially gasped for breath, worn out from the whole ordeal. Waiting for Haratio to get it over with, he was a bit surprised as the other two raiders were instructed to take Yuki back to camp. That was all he cared about, that the other was safe, and surely he'd be okay from there on out. He highly doubted that Yuki would act out in attempts to escape or whatever, knowing the male to be smarter than that. He opened his good eye to look up at him, silently waiting for whatever fate was decided for himself.

Raven felt brief relief as the other stopped, but it was short lived, wary of Horatio's silence as the other walked over beside them. The taller man shifted his grip on the hatchet and looked over the brunet on the ground. "Get up." He commanded, stepping back. If the other could walk back to camp, he'd see where it went, if he couldn't, there was no point in keeping him around. Raven drew back, letting the other go and climbing to his feet, grabbing onto the other's arms as he did so to help support and draw him up, sure that Horatio wouldn't be kind if the boy failed or stumbled. He tried to offer the other some support, bracing himself. He didn't know what the leader would do with them, but at least they wouldn't be killed.

Glancing in the larger mans direction as he heard the footsteps coming towards him, he tensed up as he noticed him shifting his grip on the weapon. He was a bit shocked as he was barked at to get up instead of swinging the axe towards him. It wasn't exactly like the other two in the group had made it out of this alive. With the help of the male that had held him down, he carefully stood up. His whole body ached from the run and being thrown around, and he was almost certain that if he hadn't had the help up he would have fallen back over. He nodded his head ever so slightly as if to thank the boy next to him, taking a small step away from him. He was sure if the leader of the group knew he needed help to stay standing he wouldn't be making it back to the camp - alive anyway. He bit his tongue as he stood silently, not wanting to say the wrong thing and just anger the group even more.

Horatio frowned as the other stood, then suddenly stepped forwards and caught the other by the throat, getting uncomfortable close as he growled at him. "If you put your hands on me again I'll break your neck, understand?" He snapped, pushing the other back and drawing a knife from his belt, handing it to the smaller boy, who had previously been left unarmed. He didn't trust the other armed in most cases, not yet, but he figured Raven wouldn't do anything stupid, and he didn't want him dying to the stronger-looking captive if it came to a fight. "Conner, you take the first bastard back and get him acquainted with how things work." He grinned maliciously. "Raven, back to camp with him; put him on the side, and no food or water till he learns. If he tries anything funny, kill him." He snapped, waiting for Raven's nod and turning to the last bandit. "Ren, help me get the shit off those two." With that, he turned away and headed over the corpses.

Raven fitted the blade into his belt, avoiding the other's eyes as he urged him along with a less-than-enthusiastic nudge. When they were a bit away from Horatio, but still far back from Connor and Yuki, he tried to help the other walk a bit. "I'm sorry." He whispered to the other, avoiding looking at the two bodies as they passed. He remembered the night he'd been dragged to the camp, Horatio had killed his friend and had beaten him into submission for trying to run, one of the many times he'd tried to fight back, but by this point, he'd stopped resisting. If these two were smart, they might survive, but it wasn't going to be easy for them.

Kail's eyes widened in fear as his throat was suddenly grabbed, hands instinctively going to grip the man's arms before he stopped himself. Stumbling as he was shoved back, he brought a hand up to his neck to rub it gently, nodding a bit to show he understood. He didn't dare speak up quite yet, not when the group still had his and Yuki's lives in their hands. As the knife was handed over to the male next to his side, he glanced over to his companion to make sure he was still okay, barely catching the look that warned him to just listen to them. He knew himself that things would go smoother for them both if they just listened to what the others had to say. Watching as the other two started off, he turned his gaze down towards the ground before he was nudged to start walking.

The brunet slowly followed alongside of the other, adrenaline starting to finally wear off. He was thankful that the other was trying to help him walk, not sure if he'd be able to keep going without it. Regardless of that, he tried to walk on his own the best he could. He was sure that Horatio would follow behind them afterwards and didn't want to be seen stumbling and tripping. He felt a pang of sadness as they walked by the bodies. He hadn't been all that close to the other two but they had been a group for a bit of time now and it definitely wasn't a nice feeling to see them laying on the ground like they were. As the boy apologized, Kail simply shrugged his good shoulder. There wasn't much that could be done at the point. Even if he felt bad enough to let him run off while the others were distracted, he wouldn't just leave Yuki behind like that.

Bircab Collapse Au - Page 2 Empty Re: Bircab Collapse Au

Post by Deathcap Sun Mar 19, 2017 12:53 am

As they walked through the now-overgrown city streets, Raven stayed quiet and wary. He didn't speak much in the first place, but he was conflicted as to whether he should speak to the boy at all. He could give him advice or assurance, but in the end, there was no telling what Horatio would do to them if he got something in his head. When they seemed to be far from the other pairs, he considered if he could let the other run. Horatio would hurt him if he did, but the other didn't seem keen on killing him, but then, if the boy ran, it was likely he'd be hunted down like an animal by Horatio. He hated this so much, but he knew he couldn't do anything for the other besides try to help him stay alive.
When they arrived at the camp; a small wooded area next to a gutted out pharmacy, Raven tensed at the jeering and laughter that met Connor and the other boy. Connor was merciless, but at least he was no-nonsense, maybe he'd keep them off the other until Horatio arrived. He steered Kail away from the mass going to meet Connor and tried to discreetly push the boy into a yellow, spray-painted tent. It was autumn now, but at least the tent still kept the wind of them. It was his home, as tiny as it was, he wasn't allowed to sleep in the warmth of the store unless Horatio was feeling generous.
He felt wary of the boy, but tried to help him nonetheless. He patted the bedroll, motioning for the other to lie down, and glancing over his shoulder repeatedly, as if terrified someone would burst into the tent at any moment.
Avoiding looking at the other's injured face, he drew a bottle of water from his pack and held it out for the other to take. The boy would need to drink and get his strength back before Horatio got his hands on him again and wouldn't let him rest or eat. "It's going to be okay." Raven murmured, but he didn't sound sure of himself.

Bircab Collapse Au - Page 2 Empty Re: Bircab Collapse Au

Post by FictionalPieces Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:47 am

trudged silently alongside of the boy, trying to keep up with his pace. He was glad to not be running anymore, but a part of him felt like he’d probably have been better off dead at that point; though he was still sure that it would be coming at any point once they were back to the camp. He wasn’t sure how many other people there were back at the camp, but he was sure that they were smarter than to bring in two strangers that couldn’t be of use and would instead waste resources.
The brunet glanced out of the corner of his eyes to the male next to him. He was debating on making a run for it from here, though was unsure if he’d be able to fight back if he was caught up to by his captor. Had he been in a healthier state he knew it likely wouldn’t have been a problem; but with the pain shooting through his body with the simplest of movements he decided against it for the time being. Unless they were killed off in the end or something else happened he had a small hope of still being.able to escape.
The laughter and commotion going on up ahead only made Kail worry even more, knowing full well that it wasn’t in a kind welcome to the other. Surely he wouldn’t be hurt too bad if that was the case. It wasn’t like Yuki had fought back that much, a few curse words coming from him but that was really it. Realizing Raven was trying to lead him into the tent, he hesitated before he was pushed inside. He doubted that this was where he meant when Horatio had told him to take him off to the side. Had it been a bedroll on the ground outside with no cover he wouldn’t have been as concerned but with as angry as the man was at him, he didn’t really think he’d be allowed to have any sort of shelter.
He shook his head the best he could, standing awkwardly off to the side. “I don’t want to get you into trouble,” he said quietly. He wasn’t too sure what the leader would do if he found Raven helping him out, but he wouldn’t have put it past him either to beat the shit out of the boy either.

Raven looked stressed as the other refused the help. He pushed the water into Kail's hand then. "T-take it." He pleaded; the boy wouldn't be able to run or escape when he was weak and dehydrated. They were fine here as long as the others didn't notice there was another captive and pull him off to beat up and scare. Kail was the captive in this situation, but he wasn't going to threaten the other and force him to lie down or eat after everything he'd been through. He doubted Horatio would even pay attention enough to care what state the boy was in. He'd come back, distribute the supplies, get drunk, fight, and then either forget the boys entirely or have them introduced to the group. "P-please. It's okay. It'll just be worse if you're weak." Raven warned, just wanting to keep the boy alive as best he could. He couldn't help comparing the two to himself and his friend. They'd made the mistake of fighting back, and trying to run, and there'd been no-one to save them, his friend, or him from Horatio once she was gone.
"If Horatio decides to keep you and your friend, you're going to be the bottom of the pile until you make yourself useful; don't challenge Horatio, don't act weak in front of the others," He tried to explain, trying to prepare the boy as well as he could for what might be coming. His voice dropped to a whisper. "If you decide to run, he'll come for you, so get a head start." He shifted, glancing back again as he heard someone wandering around. "I-"
Someone tried to kick the tent open, then struggled with the opening. Raven's nervous demeanor switched immediately into bristling anger as he put himself between Kail and the opening, springing forward to block the entrance and confront the person outside.
"What?"
"You got the other little shit in here? Let me get a look at him!" Protested a raspy voice.
"I-I'm- I'm dealing with it, he'll be out in a moment, get out, there's not enough room in here." Raven stuttered, but his voice still held a bitter ferocity as he fended the other off, repeating multiple times for the other to get out before he moved back to Kail.
"C-come on, gotta put you out for Horatio coming back." He muttered apologetically. "Leave anything important you have here, they'll take it." He warned, whispering again before standing to lead the other out.

Bircab Collapse Au - Page 2 Empty Re: Bircab Collapse Au

Post by FictionalPieces Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:13 pm

Kail looked down at the bottle as it was shoved into his hands, shaking his head a bit. He wasn’t sure how much access to water the group had but he wasn’t about to take it from the other ; especially when it seemed he was pretty low in the standings within the group. Plus he was sure if Horatio were to find out he’d just get beaten worse and he doubted he’d be all that nice to Raven either. He looked over at the other as he spoke about it being worse if he was weak, shrugging a shoulder. “It’ll be pretty bad regardless,” he said quietly. Not that he’d fight back this time around even if he could, but he was well aware even in a good state he could never beat the other in a fight.
Setting the water bottle aside, he nodded as he listened to Raven talk. “Like I’d make the mistake of fighting back again,” he muttered. He was glad for the warning though, it was just a matter of if Horatio was going to keep them around or not. Kail looked over to him as he whispered about running, knowing he’d never be able to outrun the man if he did come after him. He would only get so far before he had to stop and catch his breath, and that wasn’t very far. Of course he had run further than normal trying to escape, but it had been an imminent threat of death.
As the tent door was kicked, he shrank back to try and distance himself from the door, watching as Raven jumped to deal with whoever was there. Why did the other care so much? He was thankful for the kindness though, relaxing as it seemed whoever was at the entrance had finally gone.
Standing with a bit of difficulty, he shook his head “I don’t have anything on me. The others had what little we had,” he admitted quietly. They each had taken turns carrying the sacs with the things they had, it had just turned out that the two who were now dead had had them. It wasn’t like there was much in them anyway. He followed the boy outside, looking around warily as they exited the tent.

Post by Deathcap Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:44 pm

Raven ignored the others who had come to see the newcomer, leading him off briskly to the edge of the camp by a cluster of trees, junk and weathered old car-parts. It was out of the way of the tents, but in plain view of the Camp if the boys tried anything. He noticed Connor had already brought the first, black-haired boy to the fence and left him tied here. The two were in for a day of harassment, but if things went well they might get to eat with the rest of the group tonight.
He let the brunet sit beside his friend and did his best to tie him carefully, so his wrists wouldn't be rubbed raw. They were probably loose enough for the boy to pull free, but he didn't care. He didn't want to deal with Horatio's wrath, but these two seemed terribly far from being a threat or offering serious resistance. He wasn't completely sure how they'd survived so long since the collapse.
Besides those who'd gathered to mess with Yuki, others were crowding around to check the two for supplies or anything worth something, and to follow through with the usual unfriendly harassment.
"Horatio wants them alive and good enough to fight, let them alone." Raven growled in warning, but was only half-acknowledged. He eventually headed off, unable to do much to help the two at this point. He walked back into Camp, avoiding the ruckus as a few fought over the supplies that had been brought back, and weaved his way through the disinterested camp-members to get to his own jobs, but he couldn't get the worry and pity in his stomach to fade.

Kail kept his head down as he was lead over to the edge of the camp, trying to ignore everyone that crowded around. It wasn't that hard to try and block out any comments from the others, instead focusing on just getting over to the fence. He was glad to see that Yuki didn't look too beat up that he could tell, but was sure that that would change soon enough if Horatio had anything to do with it.
He was thankful that the boy was kind enough to tie him close to the other, and that he didn't tie the rope too tight. He had no plans on trying to escape even with the loose ropes, not even sure if he'd be able to untie Yuki in time for them to make a run for it before being caught. He doubted they didn't have some sort of guard up during the night which would only make it harder to sneak off. He continued to try and ignore the group that had gathered around, trying to reassure Yuki that he was fine as the other started to fret over him.

Raven worked away at cleaning, fixing tents, and helping prepare food, all the stuff he and the other subordinates did on a regular basis, but kept an eye on the two from afar as the day went on. As dusky twilight descended over the camp, and Horatio became more boisterous and restless, he started to feel unsettled.

The man eventually headed over to the two captives with a couple of friends, and gestured for them to untie Yuki. "Yuki was it? How're you liking it here?" He asked warmly, though it was clearly false, something deadly behind his smirk. "I think we might have a place for you scrubbing mold and vomit out of the store over there. Would you like that Yuki?" The other two laughed.

Post by FictionalPieces Mon Mar 20, 2017 12:42 am

Kail and Yuki had spent the rest of the day attempting to ignore anyone that came their way, quietly chatting to one another, which for the most part was the dark haired boy scolding the other for trying to pick a fight with Horatio. Kail was honestly too exhausted to care at that point, leaning against the other as he listened to him.

Later that evening when Horatio started over to them, Yuki nudged Kail to sit up. He rubbed his wrists as he was untied, looking up to Horatio, nodding a little as he was asked his name. He wasn't sure to speak up and answer the question or not though, not wanting to start anything else. Feeling Kail tense up next to him, he nudged him in the ribs before turning his attention back to the other man "Whatever needs to be done," he replied with a shrug.

Horatio shifted on his feet at the answer, contemplating. "Well, that's a good attitude." He replied, still smiling coldly. "If you're going to be working for us, I need to know you're not a little coward whose gonna run off, so ready for your first job?" He gestured and one of the others passed a knife to the boy. "Finish off your little friend there." He instructed, waiting to see what the other would do. He was armed if the boy tried to fight back with the weapon he'd been given, but he doubted it was likely.

Yuki watched him silently as he asked if he was ready for his first job, brow furrowing as he was handed a knife. His heart sank as he was told to kill Kail, shaking his head as he held the knife back out to Horatio "I'm sorry, but I'm not going that far," he told him. Whether it was that or his own life, he really wasn't too concerned. "I'll do whatever else you want me to, but I refuse to kill someone that close to me." He kept his arm extended with the knife, watching the men closely in case they went after either of them.

"Then you aren't worth much to me, are you?" Horatio sneered, in a particularly vicious and drunk mindset, he lunged without warning, plowing the other back into the fence and driving the knife into the center-left of his chest with the force of his movement. The two with him moved out of his way, one looking a little surprised by the impulsiveness of it.
Horatio tore the knife free and stepped back, attempting to shove the other to the ground, stepping back to avoid the blood. With that, he turned on Kail and stepped towards the other, kneeling in front of the tied boy. "What about you? Do you have any conditions for me?" He asked coldly, his fake smile gone as he waved the bloodied knife at the other's neck.

Yuki had opened his mouth to protest when the man lunged at him. Not having enough time to defend himself, he stared wide-eyed down at the blade before it was pulled out and he was shoved backwards. He clutched at his chest to try and stop from bleeding out, though knew it was really no use. Within a few minutes, he was gone.
Kail watched in horror as Horatio drove the knife into Yuki's chest, not even able to scream out. He wanted to pull his hands from the ropes, to do something to try and help, but didn't want to anger the man even more. As he took a step closer to him, Kail flinched away, shaking his head quickly "N..No!" he replied, scooting back against the fence as much as he could.

Bircab Collapse Au - Page 2 Empty Re: Bircab Collapse Au

Post by Deathcap Tue Mar 21, 2017 12:18 am

Raven headed over quietly when he heard the commotion, his stomach twisting when he jogged up to see what Horatio had done. Oh no. He approached, wary of the three as he came up beside Horatio, looking at the other in horror as he threatened the brunet. It was too late for the first, and he felt dread wash over him, unsure of what he was going to do to the remaining captive.

Horatio seemed to hesitate and laughed cruelly at the boy's response and wiped the knife casually on the other's shirt, stepping back for a moment to look at the other three. "What do you think, is he worth keeping?"
"Kill em." Muttered the girl with Horatio.
"I'm not sharing my food with the son of a bitch." Added the boy, looking down in disgust.
Raven felt alarm at the other's replies, and spoke up hesitantly, not daring to meet Horatios eyes, but protesting. "H-he's healthy, he could work hard. I can show him what to do."
Horatio glared a little. He didn't like Raven's softness. "And if he doesn't?"
"Then I'll kill him, I don't care, I'm just sick of cleaning out the store." He muttered non-nonchalantly, trying to keep any hint of emotion out of his voice.
"Then you can fucking feed him too!" Snapped the girl, rounding on Raven.
Horatio pushed her back then, growing tense in his posture. "You don't call the shots here." He looked back at Raven.
"If you're so keen to babysit, be my guest, but if he causes problems it's won't just be him suffering for it. Got it?"
Raven nodded. "Thank you."
Horatio looked over Raven for a moment, as if trying to decide something. "Clean this shit up, while you're at it. Put the body in for the dogs." He ordered, leaving with the two others in tow. "And get the blood off you before you come find me."

Bircab Collapse Au - Page 2 Empty Re: Bircab Collapse Au

Post by FictionalPieces Tue Mar 21, 2017 1:39 am

Kail stared horrified up at the three, his stomach churning as he shook uncontrollably. He hadn't even noticed the other walk up to the ground, his mind in too much of a daze. He couldn't bring himself to look over at his now dead companion no matter how much he wanted to look away from the man that had killed him. He knew that Raven had told him not to show any weakness around the others, but he really couldn't help the tears that welled up in his eyes. He hates this whole thing. Things had been going relatively fine before slipping up and being caught by the group. And now here he was alone and scared beyond belief. It didn't even matter to him if he could escape. He had nothing to go back to anymore and doubted he'd survive very long anyway on his own.
He stayed silent as the three bickered, surprised as Raven spoke up for him. Why did the other even care? He doubted with how he had been treated earlier by the boy that it had much to do with just being tired of cleaning out the store, but he wasn't going to speak up now. Flinching as the girl snapped, he let his gaze lower to the ground as the arguing continued, almost wishing that they would just kill him. He doubted he'd be much use here anyway, or that he even wanted to be there. Kail tensed up as Horatio told Raven to take the body to the dogs, biting his tongue for now. As heartbroken and torn up as he was, there was no way in hell he was going to let anyone lay a hand on the other, let along leave it for dogs. He'd dig a hole with his bare hands if he had to to bury the male in.

Bircab Collapse Au - Page 2 Empty Re: Bircab Collapse Au

Raven waited quietly as Horatio headed off, staring at the ground before eventually glancing over his shoulder. It was dark and cold enough now that most the group were huddled around fires or into their tents, or at least out of range if they were quiet. He approached the boy, trying not to look at the poor guy, but he could see the other trembling and crying. He had no idea how to comfort the other, not after that. He cut into the other's binds, sawing the knife through the rope carefully and letting him free, then moved back to give the other a moment, and to let him go to his lifeless companion.
He wanted to tell the other he was alright, that he was going to be okay, but he didn't have the words even as he tried.
He felt a sick grief wash over him at the memory of his friend, and how the boy must be feeling right now. He'd seen so much horror since then, but hadn't been able to grow numb to it as so many of the others had.

Kail kept his gaze to the ground as the other moved closer to him. While he was sure the other wouldn't harm him, not after sticking up for him, he wasn't any less wary of anyone around this goddamn place. When his hands were freed he wasn't too sure to go to Yuki or not, unsure if he'd be able to handle it. He knew the other was gone, that there was no way he would have survived this long after being stabbed, but without looking at him he could just pretend he was sleeping or something not as horrible. He knew he could only pretend for so long though. Carefully moving closer after a few moments, he closed his eyes tightly to try and stop more tears as his breath caught in his throat, instantly feeling sick to his stomach. It had been one thing knowing their companions hadn't made it, they weren't exactly that close, and he hadn't had to watch it happen of course even if it was only feet behind him.
Finally opening his eyes after what felt like forever, he just barely glanced in Raven's direction. "I'm not letting you feed him to dogs," he choked out, voice just above a whisper.

Raven watched the other for a moment before looking away, down at the ground and glancing off into the woods, watching carefully for other or any sign of danger. When the brunet spoke up, he turned, stepping towards him and glancing down at him uncertainly, then looking at the body of the other. He hesitated for a moment, looking across the camp at where the dogs were tied before taking a breath. Horatio would find out, wouldn't he? Would he even remember? He was already drunk, and Raven was sure he'd be even moreso by the end of the night.
Eventually, he gave a slight nod. "No... No, wait until dark. We'll.. we can bury him." He swallowed, not sure how he was going to do this, let alone get away with it. If anyone found out, he was sure he'd receive a beating or worse, and Kail? He doubted Horatio would spare him again. The dark haired boy wandered off, going to find shovels, and to give the boy some time alone. He doubted the other would run off. If he did, he would tell Marcel he'd killed him. He didn't care what happened.
Raven walked back quietly. eventually returning with two shovels and his pack. "Horatio will kill you if he finds out." He warned quietly, making sure the other understood the risk, and waiting for a reply.

As he heard the other say 'we', Kail shook his head "I can do it myself," he told him. Not that he didn't trust the other to not go behind his back but he wanted, needed, to do it himself. He didn't care if he was up all night, he just didn't want the help. Not only that, but he didn't want to drag the other into his problems. He already knew that if things didn't work out with him Raven would get blamed, he didn't want to get him into even more trouble by having him seen helping him bury Yuki. Though it didn't seem like anyone was paying much attention to the two of them, he knew it would be wise to wait until it had grown darker and everyone was inside their tents or wherever they spent the evenings.
Kail stayed silent as Raven eventually walked off, thankful for the silence. He spent the rest of the evening trying to come to terms with everything that had happened in the hours it had been. He knew that Yuki had just been looking out for him like he always had but he never thought it would have ended like this. He just wished that Raven wouldn't have spoken up for him. He couldn't just act out to piss off Horatio or anyone else without fear of dragging him down with him. It would have been different if the boy had been mean to him, it wouldn't have been as hard to do something stupid.
Having been lost in his thoughts when the dark haired male finally returned his voice caught him a little off guard. Forcing himself to stand up, Kail shook his head "I don't care," he replied. "He can kill me if he wants, but I refuse to let Yuki get eaten by some mutts."

Raven nodded then, avoiding the other's gaze. He had considered the other's want to do this himself, but thinking on it, that was hardly an option. Kail didn't know where he was going, and it would take to long on his own. Besides that, if a wild animal or another of the group found him, he wouldn't last long. In addition, if they were gone to long or Kail wandered off, Horatio would find them, and Yuki would still end up in with the dogs. "I'll help you. If you take too long and Horatio or the others find you, you won't be able to stop them from taking him." He told the other quietly, but his tone was stern. "Have you dug a grave before?" Raven asked, kneeling besides the other's body to lay a cloth he'd brought over the other's neck and chest, but left his face uncovered until Kail was ready. "Do you need help carrying him?"
